New SUV Volkswagen Tavendor
Volkswagen Tavendor is a big new SUV for the Chinese car market. At the moment, German Concern sells eighteen models of SUVs and crossovers in China.
The Volkswagen Tavendor is based on the same platform as the Volkswagen Teramont (known as Volkswagen Atlas outside of China.
The Tavendor looks impressively different, especially at the front. It looks angry and racy, with the high and wide car bonnet with the black grille and darkened lights.
The Tavendor will come in two options: 330 TSI with a 186 hp 2.0 turbo and 380 TSI with a 220 hp 2.0 turbo, 4-wheel drive. Both engines come mated to a 7-speed DCT. The Tavendor has 5 seats, but it is expected a VW Tavendor with 7 seats will launch later.
The VW Tavendor will launch on the Chinese car market with a base price of some 44.000 USD.
